Stew

I like your addition to the instructions on the bottom!
Thanks, man!

Oh, and I'd totally go to Chi-town with you. We can stay for free at my cousin's house. Heh. (seriously)

Marianne

Ok - I'm game!

Phil

This is by far the coolest meme I've ever seen (though I don't know that I've seen that many). Jenny -- you gave Jerry such great (and complimentary) questions, that I feel like I'd be fishing if I asked you to write some for me. And yet, I almost feel like fishing.

I think I'll half-fish.

Jerry, will you write some questions for me? They can be the same questions that you write for Marianne if you want. But I'm not sure how Marianne would feel.

Speaking of your brother, I ran into him at Super Target two nights ago.

Jerry

Questions For Marianne:

1: What erroneous assumptions have you found that we Americans make about Scotland, or about you as a Scottish person?

2: If you could send a message to yourself at any point in the past, what (and when) would the message be? (For the sake of argument, let's exclude things like "Buy Microsoft at $5/share".)

3: If you could be any fictional character, who would you be and why?

4: Which would you rather have had: your own childhood, or the one your son is having right now? (You don't have to get into comparing the specifics of y'all's private lives, unless you want to; you can talk in more general, "these kids today vs. the way it was when I was young," terms.)

5: If you could ask your cats a question and have them respond in English, what would it be?

Questions For Phil: All Musical Questions Edition

1: What is this thing called love?

2: What difference does it make?

3: How can you mend a broken heart?

4: Are you experienced?

5: Who are you?

So many comments I'd like to make about this latest blog. I'll limit myself to just one.
I love the story of your special glass. That's awesome. I hope this doesn't denigrate the story or your memories at all, but there is an alternative reason to why the moms did that: they grew very tired of washing dishes. I myself had to implement this rule with someone I used to live with. After a few years of him using 3-5 glasses every day and me having to wash them (by hand, btw, we didn't have a dishwasher) I just couldn't take it anymore. Glasses are a pain to wash.
Love the meme too. Very cool. Oops, that's two comments. Sorry....

Jerry

Actually, Suz, now that you mention it, I remember that that is exactly why the Moms imposed that rule with the glasses. And more power to them, for their ingenuity. Well done, Moms!

Elrond Hubbard

But Jerry, you sang that "Filena" or whatever beautifully! Or is that pretty much in a monotone? I always sing "Losing my Religion" 'cause it's in a monotone and I can work with that.

Marianne is Scottish?

Remember that time I ran into your brother in The Concourse Mall by the airport, and I told you about it later, and you had a wisecrack about that? What was the wisecrack again? It's funny about seeing your brother around, like Phil did.

Jerry

Yeah, that would be "El Paso," as made popular by the immortal Marty Robbins. I guess I have my moments. I think I'm pretty good at mimicking singers, but I don't really have a good singing voice of my own, if that makes any sense.

And, yes, Marianne is Scottish. One might even describe her as hella Scottish. Although I have no idea why one might want to do that.

And, no, I have no memory of my brother-related wisecrack. I never remember my own wisecracks. Maybe I need a Boswell. Or a Bosley. Or maybe just some Bosco.

Gina

Can I play too please? (And, Jerry, though I've never heard you sing, you have such a lovely speaking voice that I can't imagine you wouldn't also sing well!)

Jerry

Gina: I'm so sorry it's taken me this long to give you some questions. And thank you, but in truth I am actually kind of a shitty singer. Anyway...

Questions for Gina: More Musical Questions Edition

1: Do you know where you're going to?

2: Do you believe in magic?

3: Do you believe in love?

4: What's going on?

5: Why are there so many songs about rainbows?

Gina

My answers are up (http://lintqueen.livejournal.com/97976.html)!! (and there was *really* no need to apologize for the delay on your part!)

Thank you!
