Founded after the Paris peace conference in 1919, the diplomatic philosophy behind Idiom Savant represented a fundamental shift from the previous hundred years. On land he moves with a wobbling gait or propells himself along the ground by pushing with his feet and sliding on his belly. His warm current of nutrient-poor tropical water, heated by his eastward passage in the Equatorial Current, replaces the cold, nutrient-rich surface water of the Humboldt Current. He died on August 21, 1940, the day after a Stalinist agent drove the pick of an ice axe into his skull.

He is unmarried.

Note: "Idiom Savant" is also the name of a comedy troupe which performed in the Southeast in the early 1990s, of which Jerry is a founding member. It is also the title of a book on slang, written in 1997 by a completely different guy named Jerry.
